Your cooling starts on the roof
Every watt your servers produce has to be rejected outside, through the coils of the HVAC and condenser units on your roof. When those coils clog with dust, pollen, seeds and atmospheric grime, heat transfer drops, the system runs hotter and harder, and your energy bill climbs. Cleaning them is one of the highest-return maintenance jobs in the whole cooling chain.

A fouled coil is not a blemish. It hits capacity, energy and the life of expensive plant.
Lost cooling capacity
A fouled coil cannot reject heat efficiently, so the unit delivers less cooling for the same run time.
Higher energy use
Dirty coils raise the condensing temperature and head pressure; compressors work harder and draw more power.
Overheating & trips
As pressures climb, units trip on high-pressure faults, putting your cooling and your uptime at risk.
Shorter equipment life
Running hot and hard wears compressors out early; clean coils extend the life of expensive plant.

Inspection
We assess coil condition, any fin damage and the type of contamination, and set the approach.

Dry cleaning
First we remove the loose debris, leaves, seeds, pollen and dust, with vacuum, brush and controlled compressed air, and comb out bent fins.

Wet-chemical cleaning
Periodically, typically once a year and usually in summer, a residue-free foaming coil cleaner dissolves the greasy film and embedded grime. A controlled low-pressure rinse follows, so the fins stay intact.

Check & restore
We verify airflow and fin condition, straighten where needed, and leave the unit running clean and at full capacity.
Why dry and wet
Each method does a different job. Instead of a full wet clean every visit, we dry-clean regularly and wet-clean once a year. In our experience that delivers the same efficiency, with far less time on your roof.
The dry pass, regular
Removes the loose debris between the fins, leaves, seeds, pollen and dust. It is quick and non-invasive, so we do it several times a year (typically three).
The wet pass, once a year
A chemical coil cleaner dissolves the greasy film that traps fine particles, the part a brush cannot reach. Once a year, usually in summer, it fully restores the coil.

How often should rooftop coils be cleaned?
Typically a few dry cleans a year plus one wet-chemical clean in summer. In our experience that matches cleaning wet every time, while saving time and cost. We set the exact frequency from an inspection.
Will cleaning interrupt our cooling?
We plan around your redundancy and run times to avoid impact. We often clean units in rotation.
What’s the difference between dry and wet cleaning?
Dry removes loose debris from between the fins. Wet dissolves the greasy film that traps fine particles, the part dry cleaning cannot reach.
What chemicals do you use, and is it safe and clean?
We use coil cleaners that break down in air and leave no residue. Nothing lingers on your units or your roof.
Can coil cleaning really lower energy use?
Yes. Restored heat transfer lowers the condensing temperature and compressor load, which brings energy use down.
Do you work safely at height and on roofs?
Yes. Our staff are trained and equipped for safe rooftop work, VCA-certified and insured.
Will cleaning damage the fins?
No. We rinse at controlled low pressure and comb out bent fins. The coil comes out clean and intact.
